At Creative Auto Designs, you're always welcome to watch while your windows are being tinted.  Here's an example of a typical window tinting project:

Before your windows are tinted:

Clean your vehicle.  Dirt, dust, pet hair, and loose fibers can be trapped between the tint film and the glass.  The more debris that is present, the greater the chance for air and water to be trapped, which can lead to the formation of bubbles. We recommend that you vacuum the interior, and perform a basic car wash prior to having your vehicle tinted.

Remove valuables and delicate equipment from your vehicle.  Tint installers do much of their job from the interior of your car, and need room to manuever freely.

Remove child's safety seats if possible.  These are difficult obstacles for installers to work around.

Know the condition of your vehicle.  The application of tint will expose flaws and scratches in the glass, making imperfections more visible.

Disclose any damage to your vehicle, especially with regard to the poor operation of windows.

Disclose any existing tint.  In most cases, existing tint must be removed before the new tint can be applied.  Dyed glass and existing tint film layers can drastically multiply the tint shade.

Consider the legal statutes of your locality when choosing a tint shade.  Tint films are manufactured for a variety of applications besides automotive uses.  Consumer is responsible for choosing a tint shade that is appropriate for their use.

Consider arranging transportation to and from the tint shop.  Typically, a full tint takes 2-3 hours to complete.

After your windows are tinted:

Do not operate windows for 3 days. This will allow the adhesive to bond permanently.  When lowering windows for the first time, be sure to roll them all the way down and then back up.  If you detect any resistance when rolling down, please contact us immediately.

Do not wash the inside of your windows for 1 week. When washing tinted surfaces, never use cleaners containing ammonia or abrasive ingredients.  Always use a soft cloth such as microfiber instead of paper towels.

Inspect vehicle to make sure that contents have been returned to their place, such as a temporary license, car seats, etc.

Know what to expect.  Tinted windows may have a streaky, hazy, blistered, or blotchy appearance for the first few days while the moisture evaporates from between the film and the glass.

NOTE:  Window film is installed on the inside of the glass.  While the film is scratch resistant, it should be handled with reasonable care.  Nicks, scratches, and other physical damage are not covered under the warranty.
